"The two brothers, together with a boyhood friend, Will Dumwoody, sat many winter evenings listening to their uncle, William Suddards Franklin, who told them much of lasting value and interest. He was a consumptive, who came from Philadelphia to live with the family, and unfortunately lived only a few years".

If this is not a lapsus calami, William Suddards Franklin II was named after him. But Ellen Knight (9) gives William H. Franklin as the brother of Thomas Henry.

I have a photo dated 1867-68, Philadelphia, of this person, seeming about 15-17 years old. This agrees with info of (9)
