William Suddards Franklin (II?) states in Bill's Life and Mine (second ed. 1917) that Daniel Garber, who did the illustrations, was his cousin. Therefore Mary Garber must be the daughter of one of Thomas Henry Franklin's siblings (but probably not William Suddards I, who was too old), and so the grand-daughter of Edward Franklin.
