Seems to have dided young, as he is not mentioned among ECF's siblings in 2. The photo here is labelled in the family album "Thomas" (the hand must be Anna Comstock Barnett). But the 1880 KS census lists a Joseph Franklin, aged 13, among the other children, while Thomas is 6. The other photo labelled Thomas is approximately this age, and a photoportrait would also have been taken of the older brother. Admittedly he looks older than 13 here. If Joseph died in 1881—1883, and Thomas is 7—9 in that photo, then the photo to the left may indeed be Thomas.
